Diner | Musician Portrait Session in Hackney

Last spring I caught up with my friend and client Diner - a talented musician and songwriter originally from Shanghai. Her album Penta came out in 2025 and it's well worth your time - here's a sample to listen to while you read.

We met on a hot sunny day in Hackney - the kind of day where London actually delivers on its promise. The shoot was a mix of considered portraits and more relaxed, candid moments as we wandered around, which I think suits Diner's energy well. We even encountered a shark along the way.

The afternoon wound up at The Lexington where we crossed paths with Diners producer, Noah Prebish and his band Psymon Spine - I grabbed a few shots of them too while we were there.
