Connie Talbot | Growing Pains EP Shoot

It's always a pleasure to shoot with Connie Talbot. We've worked together for well over ten years now - it's been great to watch her music evolve and to have been part of documenting different chapters of it.

Connie is probably best known for her appearance on Britain's Got Talent back in 2007, but her music has come a long way since then - and Growing Pains, her latest EP, reflects that maturity well. This shoot was to support the EP, and in particular to promote the single 'Easier Pretending You're Dead'.

We shot in studio in London and went for something dark and moody to match the tone of the music - the kind of images that feel like they belong to the record rather than just sitting alongside it. That's always what I'm aiming for with musician press shots, and with Connie there's enough trust between us at this point that we can get there pretty quickly.
