Good headshots are essential - they need to show who you really are, portray your presence through an image in addition to showing how you actually look on camera, and then of course they should stand out visually to make a casting agent stop scrolling and notice you.
I know it can feel like a lot of pressure so I have really focused on making my sessions relaxed, collaborative, and built around making sure you feel genuinely comfortable, because that's when the images start working.
I'm based in London and work with actors at all stages - from drama school students putting together their first professional portfolio to established working actors refreshing their look. Clients include Tim McInnerny and a range of Equity-registered professionals across theatre, film and television.

I shoot against a controlled backdrop with professional lighting - consistent, clean, and built for the contexts where your headshots need to perform. Whether that's Spotlight, Mandy, your agent's submissions, or a press feature, the images will hold up.
My background is in editorial and press photography, which means I approach actor portraits differently to most headshot photographers. I'm not looking for a polished, posed result. I'm looking for the moment where something real comes through - the quality that makes a casting director look twice.
What to Expect from your Session
We'll start with a conversation - before the shoot, not on the day - about the roles you're going for, how you want to be seen, and what your current headshots might be missing. Come with two or three outfit options and a clear sense of the range you want to cover. I'll handle the rest.
Sessions take place against a controlled backdrop in a studio environment, at a location suited to the project. I work across London and can discuss options when you get in touch, but most often I shoot in Earlsfield, South London.
You'll receive a curated online gallery to choose from, once your have made your selection I will edit them and send over the fully edited, high-resolution images, ready for Spotlight upload and print use.
